Cookies & storage
Last updated 4 August 2026. Plain version: this site sets no cookies, and stores two things on your device only if you let it.
The short version
SniperCaddie sets no cookies. There is no tracking pixel, no analytics tag, no advertising network and no third-party script. The consent notice exists because the site uses browser local storage, which UK PECR treats much like cookies.
Everything stored, in full
| Key | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
snipercaddie.consent |
Strictly necessary | Records the choice you made in the consent notice, so you are not asked again on every visit. No consent is required for this one: remembering that you said no is the only way to honour it. Kept until you clear it. |
snipercaddie.prefs |
Optional - preferences | Your selected tier, categories, brands and price range, so the finder looks the same when you come back. Only written if you tick the box, and deleted immediately if you choose "Essential only". Kept until you clear it. |
That is the complete list. There is no third item, and nothing is sent anywhere - both values stay in your own browser.
Changing your mind
Use Cookie settings in the footer of the finder at any time, or clear site data in your browser. Declining costs you nothing except the filter memory - every price, grade and listing works exactly the same either way.
Images load from third parties
Product thumbnails are served from the seller's own image CDN, for example eBay's. Requesting an image tells that CDN your IP address and user agent, as any image on any web page would. SniperCaddie sets no cookies in the process and passes it nothing about you.
Affiliate links
Links to eBay carry an affiliate campaign ID in the URL, so eBay can attribute a click to this site. That is a URL parameter rather than a cookie, and no personal data about you is passed by SniperCaddie. eBay may set its own cookies once you are on eBay, under its own policy.
